Excellent book about trading techniques and theory

This book is useful to traders of all backgrounds. I know that it will help me in my own trading. Most of the concepts in the book apply to trading in multiple markets and on multiple time frames. This book has a lot of information about both entry and exit strategies. There is not a lot of complicated math. It is easier to read and understand than many books about technical analysis and trading. It not necessary to know anything about charting before reading the book. In fact, if you read this book you will probably conclude that most books about technicial analysis are worthless. It is true that some parts of the book apply to functions of the AbleTrend 7.0 program, but most of the concepts are universal. The book is valuable whether you have used AbleTrend 7.0 or not. Besides trading techniques, the book has some interesting information on how Chinese philosophy applies to trading. The book presents some some compelling theories on why some trading techniques make sense while others will never work.

It is true that some of the indicators discussed in the book are proprietary. I don't think that this takes away from the usefulness of the book. It is not really necessary to know all of the mathematical algorithms. The most unfortunate aspect of the book is that it is printed in black & white. There are many trading examples, but they are difficult to follow because you cannot see the colors on the charts. You will probably want to get the book's charts in color by contacting AbleSys.

This book attempts to transfer the knowledge that Dr Wang has accumulated over many years of research and development. I personally use the Able Trend software , however this is not necessary regarding the knowledge and virtual experience one can gain from this book , I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in the financial markets .

I have been following Dr. Wang's methodologies for years and finally have a chance to better understand its principles and the philosophies behind it. Through years of studying and testing the market with various indicators Dr. Wang discovered that AbleTrend is the most powerful one. I now fully agree. I have lost plenty of money by trading with other strategies, or on fundamentals of companies, only to be burned by the market or by my own emotions. Following the trends instead of fighting or guessing just makes perfect sense. Aside from the technical aspects of trading strategies and tools, I really enjoyed Chapter 4 on the essential philosophy behind trading. I found this book very insightful and helpful to me!

I've been AbleTrend customer for many years. AbleTrend helped me become a disciplined trader. I cannot believe that Dr. Wang has revealed so many secrets in the book that we used to pay thousands to attend his seminar! I have studies many trading books on the market, from John Murphy's to Tom DeMark's, no one ever before, has scientifically defined a trend at this level of specific and objective! Author's strong scientific background in physics and chemistry made him the master of making complicated trading simpler. For the first time, an objective way of defining a market trend has been introduced, in this book. Once you learned it, you will never see the market in the same way again. This book is NOT an infomercial. I agree with the other reviewer, it's the accumulation of author's research and trading experiences for the past 15 years. If you read this book, really study it, you will be able to focus on 2 things: finding objective early trends, and setting optimal stops. There are so many noises around interfering your trading, but by following the methods introduced in this book, you will able to stay in the winning positions till it's full maturity, and to have the courage to exit from loosing trades early. Best yet, the Eastern philosophy introduced in the book will help you to find the harmony with the market and with everything else in your life. The book is priceless.
